Book Recommendation: The Millionaire from Nazareth by Catherine Ponder

This past month, I picked up one of my all-time favorite books again—The Millionaire from Nazareth by Catherine Ponder.

I’ve read it every year for over two decades.
It’s one of those books that hits differently every time, depending on where I’m at in life and business.

And let me tell you, this year, it hit hard.

There’s a belief floating around that won’t die:
That money is evil.
That poverty is holy.
That if you’re trying to build wealth, you’re somehow betraying your faith.

Let’s be clear:
If that were true, The Millionaire from Nazareth wouldn’t have walked this earth.

In this powerful little book, Ponder flips that old, toxic mindset on its head.

The Millionaire from Nazareth
By Catherine Ponder

She wasn’t writing for Wall Street. She wrote for anyone who believes in God and wants to live a life of purpose, peace, and yes—prosperity.

Her core message is bold and backed by Scripture:

Jesus wasn’t poor, and He didn’t preach poverty.
He preached abundance, modeled overflow, and lived a life of spiritual and practical wealth.

How It Ties Into This Week’s Message

Earlier in this issue, I shared what hit me in church on Easter morning:

“Love your enemies… Pray for those who persecute you.” — Matthew 5:44

That kind of love doesn’t come from a scarcity mindset.
It comes from overflow, from spiritual abundance.

You don’t take ownership of mistakes because it’s convenient.
You do it because you’re grounded. Because you’re operating from faith, not fear.

And that’s the connection:
Spiritual wealth leads to emotional, relational, and even financial wealth.

Why You Should Read This Book Now

If you’ve ever felt:

  • Guilty charging what you’re worth
  • Torn between business success and spiritual integrity
  • Anxious about whether God approves of your financial goals

…this book will change the way you see everything.

It’s not about chasing riches.
It’s about alignment, between your faith, your mindset, and your mission.
