If you’re not following Alex Harmozi’s YouTube channel and podcast, you’re missing out on a FREE MBA education that’s worth at least $97,000. I’m dead serious.

But that’s not why I’m writing to you today.

I’m writing because Harmozi recently shared what might be the greatest sales voicemail script I’ve ever seen in my 15+ years in business. And it’s only 17 words long.

Listen closely…

Here’s the EXACT script:

“Hi, this is [your name] calling in regards to [their competitor]. Give me a call back when you get a chance.”

That’s it. No fancy language. No complex selling. No urgency. No “value proposition.”

I know what you’re thinking: “That’s too simple to work.”

WRONG!

Let me share some cold, hard FACTS with you:

While most voicemails get a pathetic 8% callback rate, this little 17-word script gets a whopping 42% of prospects to call you back! That’s a 425% INCREASE in callbacks!

But wait… it gets better.

The conversations last 3.5 minutes longer on average (plenty of time to make your actual pitch), and conversion to meetings jumps by 31%.

WHY DOES THIS WORK SO DAMN WELL?

Simple psychological triggers that are practically IMPOSSIBLE for your prospects to resist:

  1. COMPETITIVE ANXIETY – Business owners are OBSESSED with their competitors. Mention one by name, and they HAVE to know what you’re calling about.
  2. CURIOSITY GAP – The human brain HATES information gaps. It’s like an open loop that MUST be closed. By not explaining why you’re calling about their competitor, you create an irresistible need to find out.
  3. PATTERN INTERRUPTION – While other salespeople drone on with their boring pitches, you’re saying something completely unexpected.

HOW TO USE THIS IN THE REAL WORLD

Let’s say you’re calling the owner of Johnson Accounting:

“Hi, this is Robert calling in regards to Smith Tax Services. Give me a call back when you get a chance.”

Keep your tone casual. Don’t try to sound mysterious or important. Just matter-of-fact.

THE MILLION-DOLLAR SECRET

But here’s the part most people will screw up. When they call back (and they WILL call back), you better have something valuable to say.

For example:

“Yes, I was analyzing Smith Tax Services’ client retention strategies and noticed they’ve implemented a quarterly check-in system that’s dramatically reducing client churn. I’ve developed a system that could help you match or exceed their results within 90 days. Would that be worth discussing?”

See what I did there? I delivered REAL intelligence about their competitor and offered a specific solution.

HOLD ON A MINUTE…

I need to emphasize something important: This is NOT a trick. This is NOT a gimmick.

This is a pattern interrupt that gets you past the gatekeeper and into a real conversation where you can deliver actual value.

If you don’t have anything valuable to say when they call back, DON’T USE THIS TECHNIQUE.

ONE LAST THING…

Seriously, if you’re not watching Alex Harmozi’s YouTube videos and listening to his podcast, you’re leaving mountains of money on the table. It’s like getting an MBA in business and marketing for FREE. The guy has built and sold multiple 8-figure businesses, and he’s giving away his playbook.
